Community Health Assessment Complete

The Cambridge Guernsey County Health Department is pleased to announce the completion of the Community Health Assessment.  The project was a joint effort with the Noble County Health Department and  funded through the Ohio Department of Health.  Two meetings were conducted with a diverse group of community leaders and stakeholders from each county.  Surveys were sent to Guernsey county residents for completion by mail or online. A total of 2,200 addresses were randomly selected to receive the survey in Noble and Guernsey counties.  In total 572 Guernsey county residents completed the survey. The community health assessment is posted on the health department website at guernseycountyhealthdepartment.org.

The Cambridge Guernsey County Health Department will now begin work on the
Community Health Improvement Plan.  This process will use the data from the assessment to prioritize and form work groups to complete work plans for the issues identified in the assessment.

There will be two planning/workgroup meetings for the CHIP process.  The first meeting will be on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Crossroads Library , 63500 Byesville Road, Cambridge, Ohio.  The second meeting will be on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  The public is invited to attend these meetings.  Please RSVP to guercohd@guernseycountyhd.org or call (740) 439-3577.
