The health department currently offers women’s health services through the family planning clinic operated at the health department. This clinic provides women’s health care (pap tests, clinical breast exam, mammogram referrals, pelvicexams, routine lab work), family planning education, supplies, counseling and referrals for smoking cessation. A nurse practitioner sees patients on Tuesdays with clinic hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You must have an appointment to be seen in this clinic.
Sexually transmitted disease testing and treatments are offered. Education, free medication and counseling will be provided during your visit. We provide confidential HIV/AIDS testing and counseling for patients age 13 and over. Patients are asked to call and speak with a nurse regarding appointment times.
Walk in hours for supply pickups, pregnancy tests and follow up/referral information are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If patients meet financial eligibility guidelines, the cost of service will be applied to the current sliding fee scale based on size of household and income for discounted costs. We do accept the several managed medicaid plan cards and some insurance plans. Be sure to ask when making your appointment.
